How to Donate

Dear Donor,

Let’s Save the Brain Foundation is a non-profit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission since January 2012.  It was established with the aim of assuring excellent medical care for indigent patients of the Department of Neurosciences, University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) who hail from all over the country. These patients suffer from conditions of the nervous system such as stroke, epilepsy, meningitis, encephalitis, hydrocephalus, congenital malformations, brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, among others. All these are serious conditions that can be treated more adequately with sufficient resources. But they could be fatal in the absence of proper diagnostics and medications. Given the costly expenses needed for their treatment, this becomes a great burden to our indigent patients.

Let’s Save the Brain Foundation takes pride in partnering with many of the best doctors in the country who have chosen to be of service to the marginalized Filipinos who need their expertise. These selfless and compassionate doctors in UP-PGH do provide free services. However, funds are still needed for the other needs of the patients such as medicines, laboratory tests, procedures such as brain imaging studies, and medical equipment like life-support systems, etc. Oftentimes, the corresponding crucial care cannot be given to them so their conditions take a turn for the worst.

In response to these critical needs, Let’s Save the Brain Foundation established the Patient Welfare Fund and has launched a fund raising campaign from December 20, 2016 to December 19, 2017. The funds raised will provide indigent patients access to the necessary tests, procedures and medicine that will not only treat ailments at the soonest possible time, but more importantly, save lives.

Did you know that

.. for every peso you give, a patient will be able to breathe for three more minutes?
Many patients need to rent ventilators to survive.  Every peso that will be donated will count.
.. for PhP12,000 (or just around USD 285), you can already provide an aneurysm clip that is worth the productive
               lifetime of a patient?
And if you have more blessings to share, for every PhP100,000 (or around USD 2,350):
ü  Eight aneurysms will be clipped and secured, never to rupture again.
ü  Two fatal infections will be fought, clearing the way for a new life.
ü  Two patients will survive a stroke with no significant disability.
ü  Five patients will undergo lifesaving brain surgeries.
ü  Ten important MRI procedures will be done, so patients will be managed more accurately.

Let’s Save The Brain will appreciate any amount of contribution that you can give.
